2018 in review

2018 has in many ways been another year of firsts; although 2017 laid the foundation for it with getting married to my wonderful wife and accepting a position at Microsoft in Redmond, 2018 was the year were we relocated "over there". With moving to the Seattle area in the end of January, 2018 has mostly taken place for me in the US, bringing many new opportunities like hiking around Washington state and catching up on concerts But 2018 was also the year, where I felt the downside of ...

Pursuing any dream, starts by getting out the door

I just realized that today marks 1 year of me flying out to Seattle to interview with two Redmond based Microsoft teams. The interview loops was a result of 9 months of applying for various open positions, going through multiple informational and phone screen interviews - before finally finding my way to do a full on-site interview loop. It also allowed me to realize a longtime goal, moving to the US to work out of Microsoft Corp. HQ in Redmond. Living abroad has it's ...

Relocating to Seattle

Relocating to Seattle

It is with pleasure I can finally announce that I will be relocating to the Seattle area in United States. It's a journey that started almost 12 months ago, when I started actively applying for positions within various teams within Microsoft, ranging from Windows, Office, Xbox and to Azure - however finding a team that offered relocation wasn't easy. Towards the end of august, after applying for 30+ positions I had my luck! I had a phone screen interview, which I didn't really feel went that ...

2017 have been a year of firsts for me. In february I had my first vacation in South America, when Maria and I joined her family on a three week vacation traveling around Uruguay, Argentina and Brazil. Among the places visited, is Iguazu falls - the majestic falls that span an area of 2.7 kilometers. We had the view from both sides - and took the boat ride under one of the smaller falls - it was a fun and interesting experience, that rendered us all completely soaked. Maria and I ended the ...
